My favourite aspect of Broomy's coaching was his understanding that every keeper has a different style, so what works for one keeper won't necessarily work for another. As a result of this approach, initially he first understands the individual and learns what works for them. Based on the knowledge he's gathered from the player he then works capitalises on their strength and improves their technique.

In my opinion when being coached the most important aspect from a players point of view, is being comfortable. From the offset Broomy made me feel really relaxed and calm especially when I felt like things weren't going my way or when I was struggling. Our sessions were extremely fun and enjoyable but most importantly I honestly left each session feeling like a better keeper and this reflected out on the pitch as I was taking catches more cleanly and took the most wickets in the whole country.

Another element to his coaching that really helped me progressed as a keeper was mindset. Broomy not only helped my technique but he also encouraged me to think like a keeper. It is so important for every cricket player to think about what they're doing on the pitch and why, but as the keeper we have the best seat in the house so we are obliged to work with the bowlers and the captain with regards to field placements and tactics which could put pressure on the batsmen. From our sessions I've gain more confidence to speak out about what I think is right and have also been more proactive as a keeper.

"If you don't hate me by the end of the session, I haven't done my job" - Marc Broom

As much as I hated the fact that this was true, Broomy really helped me to reach my full potential and this was reflected in the county fielding statistics which ranked me number one in the whole country at the end of the 50 over league 2019.

I believe Marc is an extremely talented keeper and an even better coach. He always thinks about what is best for the player and will go out of his way to help in any way possible. Highly recommend any keepers to attend his sessions, you won't regret it!

' I Have known Marc for nearly 10 years now as a coach and have always found him to be highly professional and motivated to develop future cricketers.

Marc has extensive knowledge of the game and a coaching skill set which is evident in the sessions he runs. These sessions are specifically designed and tailored to develop each individual's needs and ability.

My son was part of the initial programme last year and the results of the hard work were impressive. I would recommend this programme for any young wicket keepers who want to improve their skills and understanding and the requirements needed to play competitive cricket.'

….my son has worked with Marc for the past 2 ½ years, he joined Marc’s wicket keeping academy last year and again for 2017/18 . We joined because this is keeper training, delivered by a keeper and is focussed on nothing but the art of wicket keeping. Marc’s training sessions cover the key areas of the technical, physical and mental aspects of what it takes to become a better keeper . His training sessions are always well planned and delivered to a very high standard, my son knows when he goes to a session that he will be in for a tough couple of hours but really enjoys the challenge and its done in a fun environment, it’s definitely made him a better keeper. The academy is quality and that’s down to Marc’s approach to coaching….

The academy is unique in my experience concentrating on just wicket keeping, covering all aspects physical fitness, keeping drills, keepers skills, standing up and back, leg side, diving and of course catching the ball. All coached with enthusiasm by a great coach, If you are interested in becoming a better wicket keeper and improving skills then the academy is a must. Fantastic!!!

My two sons attend Marc Broom's Wicket Keeping Academy. The sessions are very well planned, structured and organised. The keepers are taught a wide variety of skills in an enthusiastic and hard working environment. Marc's passion for keeping is evident and a competitive atmosphere is created where everyone wants to improve. Most importantly the boys really enjoy it. Perfect balance of seriousness and fun.
